Goals + Recap#
- Continue with Kubernetes project; put some project up into the cluster with Helm.
- Write a post about what it actually is in the afternoon
- Whenever you are interrupted, by an intrusive thought or some work, leave a note here
The project is not for me as far as the doing goes. It’s too rough, too old and has an air of abandonment about it.
On one hand, this is what I do in real life with old DOS/Windows/Unix systems; tackle old black boxes and then figure out the the broken parts and then wrap it in another layer of abstraction, so that things work on modern systems.
But doing this with a Java project, that I am not familiar with, while aiming to create a devops showcase is not something I want to do. That can come later.
So what I am going to do, is read it all. Rush through the doing, if it does not let me read further by copy pasting the solutions, that they provide.
And then when I am done with this, go hunt for some project online and attempt to do it on AWS like the Live project aims to teach.
Let’s see how this goes.
